Zita Pasta Casserole
You will need
- For ten servings:
- - 1.5 liters of tomato sauce;
- - 500 g pasta ziti;
- - 500 grams of lean ground beef;
- - 150 g soft cheese;
- - 150 g mozzarella cheese;
- - 1 onion;
- - 1.5 cups sour cream;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of grated parmesan cheese.
First, boil the macaroni-tubule Zita in salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes (see the instructions on the packaging for your pasta). After that, fold them in a colander, let all the water drain.
In a large skillet or saucepan, grind crushed onions with lean ground beef over medium heat. Add tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes. Ready-made tomato sauce for spaghetti is usually sold in 750 ml jars. But you can stew minced with onions in a mixture of water, tomato paste and spices to taste. In addition, you can make tomato sauce yourself from fresh tomatoes.
Dip a baking dish with butter, lay the prepared ingredients in layers: first half of boiled pasta, then slices of soft cheese, sour cream, half of meat tomato sauce, again half of pasta, sliced mozzarella cheese. Pour all this with the remnants of a tomato-meat sauce.Top with grated parmesan cheese. Put the mold in the oven.
Ziti pasta casserole is cooked for about 30 minutes at an oven temperature of 180 degrees. Cheese during this time should be well brown. Serve this nourishing hot casserole.
