When do puppies open their eyes?
Puppies are born blind, so everyone thinks about when puppies open their eyes? Many owners, who have the first offspring of puppies, worry about this.
Most often, puppies begin to open their eyes from 10-14 days after their birth. However, it happens that this process can be somewhat delayed. This may be due to a number of reasons. It is possible that in a puppy, the process of opening the eyes has slowed down due to an infection, which may be accompanied by eye festering.
If the process of opening the eyes is delayed until the 15th day, then most likely the puppy's eyes are "soured", therefore we advise you to soak the cotton pad with warm water and apply them to the puppy's eyes for about 3 to 5 minutes. This procedure is preferably repeated 2-3 times a day.
If the puppies have their eyes closed, it has become clear that pus is released from them or they are watering, then you will need to wipe with boric acid a couple of times a day. The solution needs to be done like this: dilute a teaspoon of boric acid into a glass of boiled water. You can also wipe with calendula or tea infusion.
